God, here I am different day same story.

Stuck in a world where nobody understands me.

I never knew that there would be days like this.

Now I am caught up and no one else can fix it.

Found myself in places I should have never been.

Now on the regular it becomes easier to sin.

I turned on the sprinklers in my life and now I can’t turn them off.

My heart has become cold and callus;

The same one at one point in time was baby soft.

The battle in me rages hotter by the minute.

But the war is won; Christ’s blood did it.

Disappointment has been my best friend.

Deceit and betrayal ushers me to my end.

Their call is so sweet it is hard to ignore.

My mistake was giving them the keys to my heart’s door.

Listen carefully, hear the lion in me roar.

The king of the universe resides in me forever more.

Such honour should not be bestowed unto me;

I was a chief sinner but Christ decided to set me free.

My search for companionship has landed me in the lion’s den;

But God had mercy on me.
